Responsibilities

• Take dogs on engaging walks, ensuring they receive proper exercise and mental stimulation
• Provide pet sitting services in clients’ homes or designated locations, including feeding, administering medication, and cleaning up after pets
• Handle animals safely using animal restraint techniques and proper handling skills
• Monitor pet behavior and health, reporting any concerns or unusual symptoms to owners or veterinary professionals
• Perform basic pet grooming tasks such as brushing or bathing as needed
• Maintain detailed records of pet activities, feeding schedules, and any incidents during care shifts
• Assist with pet training exercises to promote good behavior and obedience

Experience

• Prior experience with dog handling, pet sitting, or animal care is highly preferred
• Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary experience is a strong plus
• Experience working with animals that require special care or veterinary assistance is desirable
• Background in veterinary technician or veterinary assistant roles enhances your ability to handle medical needs
• Familiarity with animal restraint, kennel procedures, and heavy lifting ensures safe handling of various pets
• Excellent customer service skills are essential for building trust with pet owners and addressing their concerns confidently
