We are the Leading Dog Walking and Pet Sitting service in Montgomery County, Maryland. Our professional pet care service has provided loving care and dependable service to pet owners in the county for over 30 years.

Fur, Fins & Feathers, LLC is looking for professional Dog Walkers and Pet Sitters who are responsible and reliable between 10:00 AM-7:00 PM to help provide quality service for our increasing clientele. Veterans welcome to apply!

Dog Walkers/Pet Sitters Needed in : Gaithersburg, Germantown, and Rockville

Responsibilities

• Conduct Intake Meetings with new clients
• Safely walk dogs of various sizes and temperaments, following specific care instructions provided by pet owners
• Picking up and disposing of pet waste in appropriate trash containers
• Daily pet reports to clients after service is provided
• Provide attentive pet sitting services, including feeding, administering medication, and engaging in playtime activities
• Maintain clear communication with pet owners regarding pet behavior, health concerns, or special needs during visits
• Support pet care routines by cleaning up after pets and ensuring their environment remains clean and comfortable

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old and Love pets
• Prior experience in dog handling, pet sitting, or animal care is highly preferred
• Prior training in animal restraint methods and/or veterinary technician or assistant experience is preferred
• Strong customer service skills to build trust with pet owners and address their concerns effectively
• Be able to commit to 6 months of uninterrupted dog walking or pet sitting service
• Must have a flexible schedule, we only hire Honest, Patient, Punctual, responsible and reliable contractors
• Must be able to work independently and without supervision
• Must pass a thorough background check and have a clean driving record
• Must own a reliable car and possess a valid driver's license
• Must have a smart phone and access to and willingness to communicate via email and text messaging daily
• Must have excellent communication and written skills
• Must be detailed oriented and excellent time management skills
• Dress attire is casual with a clean appearance. As with appearance, attitude is everything so we only want people with a professional and positive attitude

Pay: $25.00 per hour
