Job Overview
We are seeking energetic and compassionate Dog Walkers and Pet Sitters to join our dynamic team on the Islands. In this role, you will provide attentive dog walking and pet sitting services, ensuring pets are exercised, cared for, and comforted while their owners are away. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on pets’ lives while enjoying flexible hours in a beautiful island setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead engaging walks with dogs of various sizes and temperaments, ensuring safety and exercise routines are followed.
• Provide attentive pet sitting services, including feeding, administering medication if needed, and maintaining a clean environment.
• Handle animals with gentle restraint techniques and proper animal handling skills to ensure safety for both pets and yourself.
• Monitor pet behavior closely, recognizing signs of stress or illness, and communicate any concerns promptly.
• Maintain detailed records of pet activities, behaviors, and care provided during each visit.
• Offer additional services such as pet grooming or basic training exercises to enhance pet well-being.
• Uphold the highest standards of customer service by building trusting relationships with pet owners and responding promptly to their needs.

Experience

• Prior experience in dog training, animal handling, or pet sitting preferred.
• Veterinary technician or assistant experience is highly valued for understanding medical needs and administering treatments.
• Familiarity with veterinary procedures, animal restraint techniques, and kennel management is advantageous.
• Experience working with animals in diverse environments such as farms or kennels enhances your suitability.
• Strong customer service skills combined with a genuine passion for animals are essential for success in this role.
