WufSter is a group of (really cool) pet care experts. We are passionate lovers of animals, exercise and life. We're looking to hire responsible, mature, and reliable WufSter Dog Walkers and Overnight Care Specialists who love dogs just as much as we do. Any background in the pet industry is a major plus.

Company Description:

First let me tell you a little bit about us, Wufster started in 2012 and we service the Hoboken and surrounding areas. We are a team of 18 individuals with expanding locations. Our team gets the opportunity every single day to spend time with various dog breeds who are fun, loving, and even quirky. As a company and since growing we are launching an iOS application to help better serve our clients.

Job Description:

Duties:

• Undergo a week of training and an evaluation afterwards.
• Be able to meet with clients off normal working hours (you will be compensated for these meetings).
• Be able to walk for a couple hours at a time.
• Work in all weather types.
• Handle all breeds from small to large.
• Have a smartphone to access daily schedule and communicate with management and update clients.
• Have potential availability for impromptu evening or weekend walks.
• Have a set midday schedule Monday through Friday between 10AM and 5PM.
• Valid references are mandatory.
• Minimum of 1 year.
• Must be able to retain information and then be able to follow detailed instruction to walking a clients dog.
• Must be able to send a short, concise, well grammared, professional, message to clients after each walk.
• Must have space on phone to send a daily picture to the client after each walk.
• Must have good problem solving skills

Desired Qualifications:

Active- we go up and down stairs from residence to residence which are not always very close.

Experience- We train all of our dog walkers to walk the WufSter walk yet we require experience in the pet industry.

Fit- we walk dogs who weigh anywhere from 8 pounds to 80 pounds or more.

Transportation- it is imperative to move quickly from residence to residence. We require to have a (bicycle, scooter, skateboard or car).

Responsible- we are responsible for the life of our clients pride and joy. We must protect their pet, their home and security.

Punctual- Good sense of time to stay on track and within strict time windows.

Trustworthy- We are in clients homes where they have valuables and personal items.

Consistent- individuals who are prone to being sick or needing to many personals days conflicts with what we are looking for.

Motivated- those who take pride in their work and work to building the company.

Committed- individuals who are looking to commit to at least 1 year.

Durable(Weather) - Be able to work long hours outside in the elements multiple days at a time (rain, snow, or shine)

Communicative- extroverted people who can create relationships with the pets and their owners and can communicate professionally with an outgoing positive attitude.

Preparation - It’s best to be prepared to make sure you have all your keys for the next day to accomplish your schedule as well as mapping out next days schedule.

Organization - You must be able to keep organized whether it is dog walk order, keys, and sending updates.

Pressure - This is a very low pressure job yet sometimes we approach certain instances where we must stay calm, professional, and keeping the pets best intention in mind.

Teamwork - Be able to communicate with team members to accomplish the daily schedule.

Requirements::

-At least 18 years old.

-Professional and positive attitude.

-Must have valid State ID and be able to work in the USA
