Requirements

  • Extremely reliable, punctual and detail oriented.
  • Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation preferred for client visits and walks, a smartphone and can pass a background check.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor when working with seniors and their pets.
  • Patient, respectful and comfortable interacting with seniors, including those with mobility or memory challenges.
  • Strong background in animal handling across different species and sizes of dogs and cats.

  • Proven experience in dog handling, pet sitting, or animal care roles (pet sitting, shelter, daycare, vet clinic, or long-term pet ownership.)

Responsibilities

  • Take dogs on engaging walks, ensuring safe handling and proper restraint techniques to promote healthy exercise and mental stimulation
  • Provide attentive pet care including feeding, administering medication if needed, and basic training to support pet well-being
  • Assist seniors with pet-related tasks such as feeding, cleaning, and administering veterinary-prescribed treatments with patience and professionalism
  • Monitor animal behavior during walks and care visits, recognizing signs of distress or illness and reporting concerns promptly
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing kennel cleaning, animal restraint.
  • Offer companionship to pets through play, socialization, and gentle handling to enhance their emotional health
  • Document pet care activities accurately and communicate effectively with clients about their pets’ needs and behaviors through our pet care app.

Part-time, flexible shifts ranging from 7am-830pm. Work is clustered within communities to minimize driving. Competitive per visit pay of $15 per visit-20-30 minutes (opportunity to cluster 2-4 visits together)

  • For transparency, it is best if you live near the North Hills area of Raleigh NC - you may only do 2 visits (an hour) in the morning and come back later in the afternoon for another 2 visits - I just wanted to be clear about the part-time opportunity.
