Job Responsibilities

You are important! We pride ourselves in having the best trained staff. Without awesome employees, there would be alot of lonesome fur babies waiting alone for their families to come home. You are integral to the continued success of WOOFPACK!

On visits, you will:

• Drive to the client’s home. Our goal is to keep you within a fifteen -minute drive from your home.
• Follow carefully prepared client instructions provided on our mobile app. Visits can last from 30 to 60 minutes depending on requested services.
• Multi-task responsibilities leaving ample time for play and walks.
• Feed and refresh water.
• Pick up waste & scoop litter boxes, remove any pet “accidents”, leaving the home in good condition.
• Handle basic house-sitting duties, i.e., mail, bring in packages, water plants, take garbage out.
• Love on all the pets!
• Use our mobile app on your Smart phone to provide “report cards” and photos to the client and to WOOFPACK leaders after each visit.

Availability

• Availability to work a flexible schedule during the hours of 7 AM to 8 PM.
• Availability to work weekends or evenings when required.
• Availability to work both independently and to pitch in to help PACK teammates when needed.
• Availability to serve our clients on major holidays.

Reliability – ensure client trust

• If we commit to a visit, we show up! The animals need you! Super work ethic.
• We always show up on time. Critters’ tummies and bladders can tell time!
• Always have reliable transportation – your own vehicle or immediate access to an alternate.
• Ability to drive to multiple clients’ home in a single day.
• Always leave clients’ home as you found it on your first visit. Take care of clean up at each visit.

Skill Specifics

• Use of a Smart phone to deliver reports and photos.
• Experience in handling large, sometimes unruly dogs. Knowledge of calming behaviors.
• Strong attention to detail and following instructions required.
• Strong organization and effective time management skills required.
• Experience caring for either your own pets or through previous employment.
• Experience medicating dogs and cats, usually pills or insulin injections is highly desirable. We will train as needed.
• Past experience in delivering exceptional customer (client and pet) care. Pets are full-fledged family members and instructions must be followed as requested.
• Ability to understand animal behavior and recognize changes in behavior or health.
• Knowledge and use of public dog walking etiquette.
• Ability to truly enjoy a job and the people you work with!

Job Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Required to pass a background check as you will be entering clients’ homes.
• Driver’s License and reliable vehicle
• Complete Animal/Pet First Aid Certification. Provided by WoofPack Pet Care at no cost to you

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to frequently climb stairs.
• Ability to drive in the dark – Visits can occur early morning and evenings
• Physical stamina to walk up to 2 to 5 miles a day and up to 30 to 60 minutes at a time.
• Ability to walk and control all dog breeds, sizes and temperaments or control unruly behavior.
• Ability to bend & stoop to handle clean-ups and play!
• Be energetic and LOVE to play with pets!
