This position serves North Charleston, Hanahan, Goose Creek, Park Circle, Ladson, Downtown Charleston, and parts of Summerville.

ABOUT THE POSITION

This is a part-time, as-needed role with no guaranteed set number of hours per week. It is intended to be supplemental income only. Our busiest times of year include holidays, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas, so availability for at least one of those holidays is required.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Providing midday dog walks in clients' neighborhoods
• Completing adventure walks, including safely transporting dogs to and from curated walking locations
• Caring for cats and other small animals while their families travel
• Following detailed care instructions for each pet’s unique needs
• Communicating clearly with pet parents using our pet care app
• Writing detailed visit notes and taking fun, high-quality photos or videos
• Showing up on time and being dependable, our pets and pet parents count on you

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• A genuine love of animals and comfort working independently
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Availability between 7am and 7pm, Monday through Friday (not all weekdays and hours required but must have some availability, especially between 10am - 2pm)
• Ability to work at least two weekends per month 7am - 7pm
• Willingness to work at least one major holiday, Thanksgiving or Christmas (at least partial days)
• A valid driver’s license and a reliable, insured vehicle
• Must reside in one of our service areas, preferably North Charleston, Hanahan, or Goose Creek
• Ability to pass a background check
