What You’ll Do

Most visits are 30-45 minutes and include some or all of the following:

• Dog walking or backyard playtime
• Feeding pets and refreshing water
• Cleaning litter boxes
• Administering medications if needed
• Light home care (mail, packages, trash, plant watering)
• Sending a visit update and pet photos after each visit to clients using pet sitting app

Who We’re Looking For

• Age 21+
• Lives in 27608, 27609, 27612, 27613, or 27615
• Reliable vehicle, driver’s license, and insurance
• Smartphone to use our pet care app
• Ability to walk dogs 20–50 minutes, ability to lift 30 lbs, bend/squat
• Excellent reliability, communication, and attention to detail
• Consistent weekly availability and some weekends and holidays
• Minimum 9–12 month commitment

• Applicants must have a current, valid driver's license, current auto insurance listing you as the primary insured, and a very reliable vehicle you have anytime access to. Do you have all 3? This job is not suitable for public transportation or bicycling.
• Do you have a smartphone with unlimied data, GPS, camera, video, text and email with the ability to download and use our pet sitting app for client and office communication while caring for pets?
• The compensation range for this part time position is between $300-800+ a month, depending on your availability and skill level. Please confirm this is the range you are hoping to earn.
• If considered for this position, you'll need to provide proof you are at least 21 years old, have a valid driver's license, and currently insured venincle. We will run a criminal background and DMV check and contact your professional references. We may need to contact you via phone, text, email and possibly by Zoom virtual meetings. Do you understand and agree to this?
• We are hiring part-time, year round pet sitters. Are you able to commit to this position for upwards of 12 months or longer?
• Pet sitting has greater demand during spring, summer and all major holidays. Will you have part time availability during these times, especially the holidays of Memorial Day, July 4th, Thanksgiving and Christmas this year?
• We provide customized pet care, with our peak visit times being 7-9am, 10am-3pm, 4-7pm and 8-10pm, Mon-Sun, 365 days a year. List the days and times you are available to work on a consistent basis (doesn't vary week to week).
• Are you able to provide overnight pet care (9am to 7pm) in our client's clean, comfortable, non-smoking homes about 0-6 times a month? This not a requirement.
• Tell us about recent professional (paid) or volunteer pet care experience you have with dogs and cats. What types/sizes of dogs, age range of pets did you care for and if any, what types of meds have you administered (ears, eyes, injections, topical, pilling, oral liquid)?
• Tells us about your current/most recent pet you are/were 100% responsible for its daily care and expenses and what you enjoy most about being a pet parent.
