Dog Walker & Pet Transportation Specialist

We are a small pet care business with a boutique dog daycare and boarding facility in Adair Park, Southwest Atlanta. Along with daycare and boarding, we offer dog walking, in-home pet care, and a local pet taxi service. We’re a small, pet-loving team looking for someone dependable and enthusiastic to join us!

Primary Job Duties

• Drive the pet taxi (company van) twice daily to transport dogs to and from our facility (7–10 AM and 5–8 PM, including weekends). Must be comfortable with city traffic and parking.
• Visit client homes to walk dogs and care for other pets (cats, birds, turtles, etc.). A reliable personal vehicle is required.
• Clean and help maintain the business vehicles.

Secondary Job Duties

• Occasionally assist at our daycare/boarding facility with pet care and cleaning.
• Support business operations: greet clients, check in/out pets, label/store food and belongings.
• Provide excellent customer service — greet clients and their pets by name, confirm care details, and help them feel confident in our services.
• Assist with bathing, nail trims, and other grooming tasks.

Requirements

• Live within ~8 miles of Midtown/Adair Park preferred.
• Extremely punctual, reliable, and trustworthy — last-minute call-outs or chronic lateness won’t work in our small team.
• Dependable transportation and a clean driving record (required for company van insurance).
• In-city driving and parking experience (a must).
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Availability nights, weekends, and holidays — we are open 7 AM – 9 PM, 365 days/year.
• Prior professional pet care experience (daycare, vet clinic, or pet service company) strongly preferred.
• Flexibility to occasionally stay past scheduled shift (about an hour).
• Willingness to commit long-term (at least 1 year).

• Are you comfortable driving and completing pet care visits within the City of Atlanta (including potentially busy or high-traffic areas)?
• Are you able to commit to being consistently reliable and on time for all scheduled visits (including early mornings, weekends, and holidays)?

• Do you have a smartphone with internet/data and GPS that you can use for scheduling, navigation, and communication during visits?
• Do you have a reliable vehicle to use for driving to/from dog walks and home visits (our business vehicle is only used for the pet transport)?
• Are you comfortable working with pets that may have behavioral challenges?

This can include leash reactivity, nervousness, or occasional nipping as they warm up to new people. Patience, awareness, and confidence are key in these situations.
