Dog Walker & SItter ONLY APPLICANTS IN 10 MIN OF CAPITOL HILL

Overview
Please only apply to this job if you live within 10 minutes from Capitol Hill. We are currently hiring two walkers. At this moment I believe that we will be looking to cover clients in Capitol Hill but it does depend a little on where walks pop up. You must also be okay with the areas: first hill, south lake union, eastlake, and potentially central district. Car is a big plus but not required at this time.

We do one on one dog walks and our priority is to walk pups in the same way that owners would walk them.

Duties

• Walk dogs according to scheduled routes, ensuring safety and comfort for each pet
• Restrain and handle dogs safely using proper animal handling techniques
• Assist with pet sitting visits, including feeding, administering medication, and providing companionship
• Monitor dog behavior, noting any health or behavioral concerns to report to clients or supervisors
• Uphold high standards of animal restraint and safety protocols at all times
• Engage with clients professionally, offering updates on their pets’ well-being

Skills

• Experience in dog handling, pet sitting, or animal care preferred but not required
• Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary experience a plus
• Animal restraint skills and familiarity with pet grooming are advantageous
• Ability to handle animals safely, including heavy lifting when necessary (e.g., lifting large dogs)
• Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients
• Animal handling expertise gained through veterinary technician or assistant experience, kennel work, or equine experience is beneficial
• Reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license is required due to route responsibilities within <Capitol Hill>

Pay: $29.00 - $34.00 per hour
