Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct dog walks and drop-in visits for dogs, cats, and small animals.
- Walk dogs in various weather conditions while ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Provide animal care, including feeding, administering medication and cleaning up after accidents.
- Monitor pets during visits for any signs of distress or discomfort.
- Build strong relationships with both pets and their owners through excellent customer service.
- Manage keys and key codes for client homes responsibly and securely.
- Take quality pictures and write updates for report cards to keep clients informed about their pets.
- Be tech-savvy and able to effectively use the booking system for scheduling and reporting.
- Stay calm in emergencies and know how to handle various pet-related situations effectively. Pet CPR and first aid certification course will be provided if not already obtained.
- Handle animals with care and patience, employing proper animal restraint techniques when necessary.
Experience
- Previous experience in animal care or handling is highly preferred but not required.
- Skills in pet sitting, dog training, or veterinary technician experience are advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners.
- Familiarity with animal behavior and handling techniques is beneficial.
- Ability to manage multiple dogs at once while maintaining control and safety.
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Previous pet care experience is preferred.
- Ability to manage time efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude.
Compensation:
- This position operates on a commission basis, offering roughly 50% of the revenue generated from visits, which typically translates to around $20+ per hour.
