Locally owned and operated since 2009, Queen City Pet Sitting is a customer-centered pet-sitting and dog-walking company that believes pets are family. We are seeking dedicated and passionate Dog Walkers and Pet Sitters to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional care for dogs, cats, and small pets during walks and pet-sitting visits
• Walk, exercise, feed, and medicate pets as needed, ensuring their safety and well-being
• Maintain open communication with clients and update management on pet behavior or concerns
• Follow assigned schedules with punctuality and reliability, managing time across multiple clients
• Use a smartphone and our scheduling app to manage visits and communicate before, during, and after services
• Safely handle pets of various sizes and represent the company professionally during all interactions

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

✅ Availability:

For one or more of the following schedules:

• Midday Dog Walks (Mon-Fri)
• Morning & Evening Pet Sitting Visits (Mon-Fri)
• Overnight Stays + 1 midday visit
• Boarding dogs (in sitter’s home)

✅ Technology & Transportation:

• Have a working smartphone (iOS or Android)
• Valid driver’s license & reliable personal transportation

✅ Location:

• Must live in Charlotte within 1 mile of the following zip codes: 28202, 28203, 28204, 28205, 28207, 28208, 28209, 28210, 28211, 28217, 28226, 28270, 28277, 28105, 28273, 28134, 28173

✅ Skills & Experience:

• Prior experience caring for & walking dogs (personal or professional)
• Passion for and compassion toward all pets
• Able to comfortably walk and control dogs up to 40 lbs, including walking two dogs at a time
• Strong time management and ability to work independently
• Ability to pass a background check

✅ (Bonus Qualifications – Not Required but helpful)

• Comfortable with heavy lifting (e.g., assisting senior or injured pets)
• Experience administering shots / medicine
