Dog Walker/Sitter

Winnie Dog Co. is a relationship-based dog walking and in-home pet care company serving Metro Detroit. We focus on consistency, safety, and thoughtful care—not high-volume or transactional services.

We’re looking for a reliable, detail-oriented walker to join our team on the west side.

Position Details

• 10–15 hours per week (with opportunity to grow)
• Monday–Friday availability required
• Typical working window: 10:30am–2:00pm
• Paid time includes time between client visits

Responsibilities

• Daily dog walks (30–60 minutes)
• Follow detailed care instructions for each dog
• Maintain safe leash handling at all times
• Provide updates and photos through our app
• Represent Winnie Dog Co. with professionalism and care

Requirements

• Must live near Royal Oak / Birmingham / Bloomfield Hills
• Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
• Weekday midday availability (consistent schedule)
• Experience handling dogs of various sizes and temperaments (personal or professional)
• Confident with leash handling and maintaining control at all times
• Strong communication, awareness, and reliability

Compensation

• $18–$20 per hour, based on experience
• Consistent weekday schedule with routes designed to grow over time
• This is an independent contractor (1099) position

Optional Additional Hours (Dog Sitting)

Opportunities for overnight dog sitting are available for team members interested in additional income.

• In-home overnight stays (client’s home)
• Typical schedule: evening arrival + morning departure
• Paid per night (not hourly)
• additional pay for multiple dogs
• Not required, but available for those seeking extra hours

Preference given to candidates open to both walking and occasional dog sitting

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
