Dog Walking and Pet Sitting Professional - Short Pump/Innsbrook/Tuckahoe - PART TIME

We are looking for someone experienced working with dogs and cats to work as a part time dog walker and pet sitter in the Short Pump/Innsbrook/Tuckahoe neighborhoods every Monday through Friday between 10am-3pm. You must live in or near Short Pump, Innsbrook, or Tuckahoe. You must be experienced working with dogs and cats.

Requirements

• Must live in or near Short Pump, Innsbrook, or Tuckahoe
• Must be available Monday through Friday between 10am-3pm
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle
• MUST BE EXPERIENCED WORKING WITH DOGS, must be knowledgable of common dog breeds and temperaments
• Must know how to handle dog/leash/food/resource aggression with positive reinforcement techniques
• MUST BE EXPERIENCED WORKING WITH CATS, must be knowledgable of common cat breeds and temperaments
• Ability and willingness to be outside in all weather, including rain, snow, heat, cold, and wind

Qualifications

• Professional experience with animals (working at a veterinary hospital, dog daycare/boarding facility, animal shelter, dog trainer, pet sitter or dog walker, etc)
• Be 22 years of age or older
• Have a good driving record and ability to pass a background check
• Have a smartphone with access to the Internet, data plan, and high quality camera
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively by returning emails, texts, and phone calls promptly
• Ability to take and send photos of pets in your care to clients and for use on social media
• Experience with administering medication or fluids is a plus
