DOH Registered Nurse : School Nurse -(Male Clinic)

Job Purpose:

To provide primary healthcare services to students and staff, promote health and wellness, manage chronic and acute illnesses, and ensure the implementation of health policies and procedures in compliance with UAE health regulations and Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH) guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:1. Clinical Care

• Provide first aid and emergency care for injuries and illnesses.
• Assess and manage students with chronic conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes, allergies).
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor side effects.
• Maintain accurate medical records and daily clinic logs.
• Refer students to external medical facilities when necessary.

2. Health Monitoring & Promotion

• Conduct routine screenings (vision, hearing, BMI, etc.).
• Monitor and report communicable diseases.
• Promote a healthy school environment through health education campaigns.
• Support mental health awareness and interventions in collaboration with school counselors.

3. Administrative & Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure the school clinic meets DoH standards and is ready for inspections.
• Maintain inventory of medical supplies and request replenishments as needed.
• Prepare monthly reports on clinic activities and submit them to relevant authorities.
• Participate in emergency drills and contribute to the school’s health and safety policies.

4. Collaboration

• Liaise with parents regarding student health issues.
• Work with teachers and staff to identify students with special healthcare needs.
• Provide staff training in basic first aid and CPR (if certified).

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
