DOH School Nurse

Clinical Care & First Aid

• Provide first aid and emergency care for students and staff.
• Assess, manage, and document illness or injury cases occurring within the school premises.
• Administer prescribed medications as per medical guidelines.
• Refer students to hospitals/clinics when further medical attention is required.

Health Monitoring & Records

• Maintain up-to-date student medical files, including immunization and health records, in line with UAE health authority standards.
• Conduct regular health screenings (vision, hearing, BMI, etc.) as required.
• Monitor students with chronic health conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes, epilepsy) and ensure their care plans are implemented.

Health Promotion & Education

• Organize and conduct health awareness programs for students, staff, and parents.
• Promote hygiene, nutrition, and healthy lifestyle practices among students.
• Provide counseling and guidance on health-related issues.

Compliance & Safety

• Ensure school clinic facilities meet DHA/DOH/MOH requirements.
• Maintain stock of first-aid kits, medicines, and emergency supplies.
• Report communicable diseases to health authorities as per UAE guidelines.
• Adhere to infection prevention and control policies.
