Arnold Gruber, Ltd., a growing Northeast Ohio law firm is seeking a highly motivated Domestic Relations Attorney. We take pride in offering high-quality legal services in a collaborative, supportive work environment.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Domestic Relations Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family law, excellent client-management skills, and the ability to handle complex and emotionally sensitive matters with professionalism and empathy. This attorney will manage a full domestic relations caseload, including divorce, dissolution, custody, support, and post-decree matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in divorce, dissolution, legal separation, child custody, parenting time, child support, spousal support, and property division matters.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, settlement agreements, and parenting plans.
  • Appear in court for hearings, pretrials, conferences, and trials.
  • Conduct legal research and develop case strategies tailored to each client’s needs.
  • Engage in negotiations, mediations, and settlement discussions.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and expert witnesses.
  • Maintain organized case files, meet deadlines, and comply with local court rules and procedures.
  • Provide compassionate guidance to clients navigating difficult family transitions.
  • Collaborate with support staff and paralegals to ensure efficient file management and client service.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in the state of Ohio.
  • 2–5+ years of experience in domestic relations/family law preferred.
  • Strong litigation and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Empathy, professionalism, and discretion when working with sensitive family matters.
  • Proficiency with legal practice software and case management systems is a plus.
