The Donations Specialist will be responsible for processing workplace giving and matching gift donations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational policies and procedures. This role involves coordinating with third party vendors and internal teams to facilitate contributions efficiently and effectively.


Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate full cycle workplace giving and matching gift donations processing environment, initiating improvements to increase efficiency
  • Ensure all workplace giving and matching gift donations are accurately processed.
  • Verify and confirm matching gift donations through third party vendor portals.
  • Maintain and update chapter and contact details on third-party vendor portals
  • Credit fundraisers throughout donations systems as per donor intent when provided. Allocate matching gifts to the original donation and do appropriate data entry.
  • Ensure all WPG/MG donations and adjustments are entered within CRM
  • Generate and distribute reports on donation activities, trends, and other metrics to internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure donations are processed with compliance and in accordance with organizational policies, legal requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Work closely with fundraising teams, finance department, and other relevant staff to align donation processing with overall organizational goals.
  • Other donations processing tasks as assigned.

Qualifications
  • 3+ years progressive experience in an accounting, finance, or business administration role. Experience in nonprofit organizations preferred.
  • College degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Experience with donation gift processing.
  • Experience with third-party workplace giving portals like Benevity, YourCause, CyberGrants, strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of basic accounting principles.
  • Experience with Salesforce, Workday/ERP applications, and fundraising applications strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience implementing projects that include data and system Integrations
  • Excellent time management skills with ability to handle multiple projects.
  • Excellent communications skills (verbal and written).
  • Excellent customer service skills. Commitment to providing excellent support to donors and corporate partners.
  • Pro-active approach focused on problem solving. Ability to identify and address issues related to donation processing promptly and effectively.
  • Fast learner and able to link diverse sources of information to the business, including ability to handle confidential information and materials with appropriate discretion.
  • Ability to work and make judgments independently and take initiative.
  • Well-disciplined and a self-starter that is extremely resourceful.
  • Adherence to ethical standards and organizational policies.
  • Flexibility in managing changing priorities and workloads.
  • Willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve organizational goals.
  • Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends as required.
  • Ability to travel for meetings, from time to time.

Targeted Salary Range: $62,500 - $73,500

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and infrequently up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
