Important Information:

There are two positions available for this role — one full-time and one part-time. The full-time position offers a regular 30 – 36 hours per week and is benefit-eligible. The part-time position ranges from 20 to 29 hours per week and is not eligible for benefits. Both positions require evening (4:00 pm to 12:00 am) and weekend availability, with flexibility to cover additional shifts as needed. What We Are Looking For:

SHA is seeking a courteous, dependable, and service-oriented Doorman to join our team. The Doorman plays a vital role in maintaining a safe, welcoming, and professional environment for residents and visitors. This position serves as the first point of contact at the property, greeting guests, monitoring building access, and assisting residents with daily needs. The ideal candidate is attentive, personable, and committed to providing excellent customer service, particularly in a community serving elderly residents.

In this Role, You Will:

  • Greet residents, visitors, and guests warmly, creating a welcoming and professional atmosphere.
  • Monitor building access and verify visitor identification to ensure security compliance.
  • Assist residents with carrying packages, opening doors, and providing directions.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free lobby and entrance area.
  • Keep accurate logs of visitors, deliveries, and any incidents during assigned shifts.
  • Report suspicious activity, safety concerns, or maintenance issues promptly.
  • Communicate effectively with the Property Manager and other staff to ensure smooth building operations.
  • Serve as a point of contact during emergencies, following established safety and evacuation procedures.

What You Need:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Prior experience as a doorman, concierge, or in a customer-facing or security rolepreferred.
  • Experience working withelderly residents or in a community setting is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to maintain a calm, courteous demeanor in all interactions.
  • Professional appearance and adherence to uniform standards.
  • Must pass a background check; CPR/First Aid certification is preferred but not required.
  • Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Must possess a valid Florida driver’s license, be insurable under Authority’s fleet policy, and pass a pre-employment drug screening.
