Description:

Trusted Structures LLC is seeking a skilled Cost Estimator to lead estimating and bidding efforts for projects across DOT, state, and federal infrastructure scopes. This role is essential to ensuring accurate cost projections, bid package preparations and submittal.

You’ll work closely with our field foremen and executive team to build competitively priced and accurate bid packages on select Prime and Subcontract project opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Estimating & Preconstruction

• Identify relevant DOT and Federal contract opportunities across multiple contract advertisement platforms.
• Develop detailed cost estimates for scopes including:

Bridge construction and phased rehabilitation

Concrete deck overlays, spall repairs, and parapet reconstruction

Structural concrete and reinforcing steel installation

Joint, bearing, and expansion system replacement

Retaining walls, sound walls, and MSE wall construction

Bridge drainage and incidental concrete structures

Selective demolition of bridge components

• Prepare and submit bid package

Familiar with VDOT CABB, PennDOT ECMS, Bid Express and SAM.gov (Federal) a plus

• Analyze drawings, specifications, and contract documents
• Coordinate bid strategy, value engineering, and subcontractor pricing

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DOT cost estimating, bid package, and submittal, with Federal cost estimating a plus
• Experience submitting bids to Federal Agencies and VDOT, or PennDOT
• Strong understanding of DOT specifications, unit pricing, and concrete scope estimating
• Hands-on experience with bridge repairs, including joint systems and epoxy injection methods
• Proficiency in estimating software
• Excellent communication, coordination, and organizational skills
