DOT Safety & Compliance Supervisor

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented DOT Safety & Compliance Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring full compliance with all U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) and FMCSA regulations to maintain a safe and efficient operation. You’ll play a key role in protecting our company, drivers, and community by upholding the highest safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and enforce all applicable federal, state, and local DOT/FMCSA regulations.
• Driver Qualification Management: Maintain up-to-date and accurate driver qualification files, including physicals, licenses, insurance, and registrations.
• Drug & Alcohol Testing: Oversee random and post-accident testing programs, maintaining all documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Training & Education: Develop and deliver relevant safety training programs for drivers and staff; update materials as regulations evolve.
• Incident Investigation: Conduct thorough investigations of accidents and injuries, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
• Recordkeeping & Filings: Maintain all required logs and documentation, including vehicle inspections, maintenance records, and MCS-150 filings.
• Safety Program Development: Design, implement, and update safety policies and programs based on data analysis and best practices.

Essential Qualifications

• Experience: 3+ years of transportation and safety experience, with strong knowledge of DOT regulations.
• Licenses/Certifications:
• OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour certification highly valued
• Skills:
• Know Samsara system
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
• In-depth knowledge of FMCSA regulations

Pay: $45,000.00 - $57,000.00 per year
