Dozer Operator

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Dozer Operator to join our construction team. In this vital role, you will operate heavy machinery, specifically bulldozers, to move earth, grade surfaces, and prepare sites for construction projects. Your expertise will help ensure that projects progress smoothly, safely, and efficiently. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, utilizing your technical skills and mechanical knowledge to contribute to large-scale infrastructure development.

Responsibilities

• Operate bulldozers (dozers) with precision to level ground, clear debris, and shape terrain according to project specifications.
• Assist with the operation of other heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, tankers, and horizontal drilling machinery as needed.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure optimal functioning and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
• Follow all safety protocols and construction site regulations to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and team members.
• Collaborate with site supervisors and other operators to coordinate tasks efficiently and meet project deadlines.
• Assist with site preparation activities including grading for paving projects and setting up materials for construction operations.
• Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, daily activities, and safety checks.

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy construction equipment including bulldozers (dozers), excavators, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks.
• Proven experience operating heavy machinery on construction sites with a focus on safety and precision.
• Ability to perform commercial driving duties when required for transporting equipment or materials.
• Skilled in construction site operations with familiarity in paving processes and site grading techniques.
• GPS experience with machinery.
• Experience working with various types of construction vehicles such as loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, and dump trucks.
• Strong understanding of safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and construction environments.
