Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and visionary IBDP Coordinator (DPC) to lead and manage all aspects of the IB Diploma Programme. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of IBDP philosophy and pedagogy, proven leadership in an IB setting, and a passion for cultivating a rigorous and supportive academic environment for both students and staff.
Key Responsibilities: Programme Leadership & Administration
- Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the IB Diploma Programme in accordance with IB standards and practices.
- Act as the liaison between the school and the IB Organization (IBO).
- Ensure the school’s compliance with IB regulations, including programme evaluation, authorization, and reporting.
- Oversee the development and updating of the Programme of Inquiry, course outlines, handbooks, and policy documents (Assessment, Academic Honesty, Language, Inclusion, etc.).
Curriculum & Pedagogy
- Support subject teachers in developing and delivering a rigorous, inquiry-based, and concept-driven curriculum.
- Promote interdisciplinary teaching and learning, ATL skills, TOK integration, and CAS implementation.
- Facilitate collaborative planning meetings and curriculum review cycles.
- Guide and monitor Extended Essay and Theory of Knowledge components to ensure quality and academic integrity.
Student Support
- Guide students in subject selection, career pathways, and understanding IBDP requirements.
- Monitor student progress and support academic interventions where necessary.
- Coordinate internal assessments, predicted grades, and IB exam registrations.
- Organize orientation programmes, university counselling sessions, and IBDP awareness events for students and parents.
Faculty Support & Professional Development
- Lead and mentor IBDP teaching staff, ensuring alignment with IB pedagogical practices.
- Identify and facilitate professional development opportunities, including IB workshops and in-house training.
- Foster a culture of reflective teaching, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Education or relevant subject field.
- Certified and experienced IBDP educator with minimum 3–5 years of experience in a leadership role within the IBDP (preferably as a Coordinator).
- Strong understanding of IB philosophy, ATL skills, academic honesty, and curriculum design.
- Familiarity with IB digital platforms (MyIB, IBIS) and assessment procedures.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Prior experience in school accreditation or IB evaluation processes.
