Job Summary
Must have FIRST AID CPR, PASS BACKGROUND CHECK WHICH 25 DOLLARS, MUST HAVE EBPI HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA. our dedicated team as a Group Home Staff member, where you will play a vital role in providing compassionate, personalized care to individuals with diverse needs. In this rewarding position, you will support residents with daily activities, promote independence, and ensure a safe, nurturing environment. Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary.
  • Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure residents’ health is maintained.
  • Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and document all medication activities in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
  • Provide specialized care for residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, utilizing memory care techniques and behavior management strategies.
  • Support residents during meals by meal preparation, feeding assistance, and ensuring nutritional needs are met while maintaining a clean dining environment.
  • Maintain a safe environment through cleaning duties, infection control practices, and adhering to health and safety protocols.
  • Engage in home & community care activities by driving residents to appointments or outings and supporting social interactions to enhance quality of life.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and memory care best practices.
  • Certification or experience in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications such as medication administration or Hoyer lift training are advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of resident rights and ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members, residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, transferring residents safely, and standing for extended periods.
