Join our Scheduling Team and work closely with plant supervisors and leads to design, plan, prepare, and release door designs while developing innovative manufacturing methods. This position requires someone who can apply a broad range of design experience and perform a variety of semi-routine tasks with minimal supervision to support our manufacturing and production needs. You’ll also play an active role in driving continuous improvement in product flow, quality, and efficiency across the operation.

Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions

Include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Respond promptly to quote requests by providing drawings and technical documentation, including the development and maintenance of plans, diagrams, and models in accordance with established specifications, standards, and techniques.
  • Assist in developing layout and specification sheets.
  • Support the creation of technical documentation and related materials.
  • Participate actively in design discussions and team meetings.
  • Prepare layouts and perform drafting tasks based on general instructions, determining optimal design options while applying strong proficiency in Autodesk CAD software.
  • Develop high-quality, detailed documentation that adheres to company standards and quality expectations.
  • Provide timely and accurate responses to requests received via telephone, email, fax, and other communication channels.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support departmental and company objectives.

Qualifications – Required

  • Demonstrated strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively while meeting deadlines and project goals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Willingness and ability to work overtime as needed to meet production or project requirements.

Qualifications – Preferred

  • Manufacturing experience within the durable goods industry.
  • Minimum of one year of formal education or training in AutoCAD or a related field; equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience will be considered.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and familiarity with related design software.

Hourly Wage $26.00 - $31.20 DOE
