Drafting Specialist – Chilled Water System

We are seeking a Drafting Specialist with expertise in HVAC and Chilled Water Drafting. This role also involves HVAC site coordination, ensuring seamless integration of systems. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed drafting layouts and schematics, focusing on HVAC and Chilled Water systems, while contributing to other MEP disciplines when required.

• Use AutoCAD, Revit, and other software to create technical drawings.

• Develop ductwork, piping, equipment layout, and coordination drawings using AutoCAD.

• Review and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and BOQs.

• Coordinate HVAC drawings with architectural, structural, electrical, and plumbing services.

• Supervise HVAC installation works on-site, including ducting, piping, insulation, supports, and equipment installation.

• Ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, project specifications, and industry standards.

• Coordinate daily activities with site engineers, technicians, subcontractors, and other trades.

• Monitor material delivery, installation quality, and workmanship.

• Identify and resolve site-related technical issues.

• Ensure compliance with HVAC quality standards, safety regulations, and project HSE requirements.

• Assist in testing, commissioning, balancing, and handover of chilled water and DX systems.

• Conduct site inspections and prepare inspection requests (IRs) and checklists.

• Support preparation of method statements and technical submittals.

• Maintain updated site records, drawings, and daily progress reports.

• Assist in preparing as-built drawings and handover documentation.

• Coordinate with consultants and clients during inspections and approvals

• Update drawings based on site conditions, consultant comments, and revisions. Perform any other duties within the field of competence as assigned by the Head of Department or delegated authority from time to time.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Technical Certification in Mechanical Engineering / HVAC.

• 3–5 years of experience in HVAC drafting and site supervision.

• Strong knowledge of chilled water systems, DX systems, ducting, piping, and HVAC equipment.

• Good understanding of HVAC standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, local codes).

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and construction drawings
