Draftsman

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Draftsman with experience in both construction and carpentry design. The ideal candidate will create accurate technical drawings, shop drawings, and 3D models used for building, joinery, and fabrication purposes. You will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and carpenters to ensure that every design aligns with project specifications, safety standards, and aesthetic requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings for construction and carpentry projects using AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar software.
• Develop shop drawings, joinery details, and fabrication plans for woodwork, cabinetry, and furniture.
• Interpret architectural and structural plans to produce accurate construction documentation.
• Coordinate with site supervisors, engineers, and carpenters to resolve design or construction issues.
• Update and revise drawings based on client feedback and site measurements.
• Ensure all drawings comply with building codes, safety standards, and project timelines.
• Maintain organized drawing files and documentation for each project.

Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma or degree in Drafting, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in construction or carpentry drafting (joinery experience preferred).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and/or Revit.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and woodworking processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to visualize complex structures.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills (Not Required)

• Experience with interior fit-out, modular furniture, or custom carpentry design.
• Knowledge of BIM standards and 3D rendering software.
• Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
