Draftsman for Joinery

We are looking for a highly proficient Senior Draftsman with extensive experience in joinery and woodworking. The successful candidate will oversee a team of draftsmen and work in close coordination with production, design, and site teams to produce accurate and high-quality technical drawings. This role demands strong technical knowledge, effective leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple project deliverables efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, guide, and mentor a team of draftsmen, ensuring accuracy, quality, and adherence to industry standards
• Develop precise, detailed shop drawings for custom joinery works such as wardrobes, doors, wall cladding, counters, and cabinets
• Review and validate drawings prepared by junior draftsmen to ensure they meet project specifications
• Convert interior design concepts into clear, fabrication-ready shop drawings
• Collaborate with production, procurement, and site teams to ensure drawings align with project and manufacturing requirements
• Conduct site visits when required to confirm measurements and assess on-site conditions
• Manage drawing schedules and ensure the timely submission of all required documents

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Drafting, Interior Design, or a related discipline
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in joinery or woodworking, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory position
• Proficient in AutoCAD; familiarity with SolidWorks, SketchUp, or other 3D software is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of joinery construction details, materials, hardware, and finishing standards
• Demonstrated ability to lead a drafting team and produce high-quality technical drawings
• Excellent ability to interpret architectural and interior design plans
• Capable of doing detail joinery drawings including Doors, cabinetry, wall cladding, furniture etc.
