We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Draftsman to join our growing creative team.

Role Overview:

• Translate Design into Production: Convert approved 3D renders and design sketches into detailed 2D technical and shop drawings for production.
• Ensure Technical Accuracy: Provide precise measurements, dimensions and specifications for materials and construction methods.
• Ensure Compliance: Confirm drawings adhere to structural requirements, safety standards and venue regulations.
• Mitigate Production Errors: Create clear, standardized drawings to minimize misunderstandings and costly rework on the factory floor and on-site.
• Support Technical Feasibility: Work with designers and engineers to ensure that creative ideas can be technically realized within project constraints.
• Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Act as a communication bridge between the design, production and installation teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop Detailed Shop Drawings: Create detailed technical drawings for bespoke joinery, millwork, metalwork, display systems and other fabrication tasks.
• Generate Material and Cutting Lists: Prepare accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and material cutting lists to assist the procurement and production teams.
• Coordinate with Project Team: Incorporate feedback and updates from Project Managers, Site Engineers, and clients to reflect changes throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support Production & Installation: Provide ongoing technical support and clarification to factory and on-site installation teams to resolve build-related queries.
• Perform Site Surveys & As-Built Drawings: Conduct on-site measurements to verify project specifications and create as-built drawings after project completion.
• Manage Drawing Documentation: Organize, version control, and archive all project drawings and related technical documentation for future reference.

Expected Outcomes:

• All creative designs are accurately and efficiently translated into comprehensive, ready-for-manufacture shop drawings.
• Procurement and production teams receive accurate material lists and specifications, enabling efficient material ordering and cutting processes.
• All drawing packages are fully compliant with necessary structural, safety and venue authority regulations prior to submission and build.
• Production errors and costly rework caused by drawing inaccuracies are eliminated on the factory floor and during installation.
• Creative designs are technically sound and buildable, successfully integrating site measurement verification into the design process.
• A seamless flow of technical information is maintained across design, production and installation teams, supported by robust version control and documentation management.

Requirements

• Diploma or Associate’s degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Drafting, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience as a Draftsman, specifically in interior fit out projects.
• High proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory. Knowledge of other civil design software is a plus.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering concepts, terminology and construction methods.
• Ability to interpret engineering sketches, surveys and specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

SALARY: 3k onward (depending on experience)
