Draftsman - Joinary Manufacure

We are seeking an experienced Draftsman with strong expertise in shop drawings and detailed joinery drawings for interior design and fit-out projects. The candidate will convert design concepts and architectural drawings into accurate, production-ready technical drawings, cutting lists and material schedules, coordinating closely with design, production and site teams to ensure manufacturability and smooth installation.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce accurate shop drawings, fabrication drawings, detailed joinery sections, and installation drawingsfrom architectural/interior design plans and design sketches.
• Create complete 2D technical drawings (plans, elevations, sections, details) site measurements and existing conditions and preferably 3D views where required to clarify complex joinery.
• Prepare cutting lists, material schedules, BOQs for production and procurement.
• Coordinate and clarify technical details with project managers, site supervisors, production foremen and suppliers to resolve discrepancies and ensure buildability.
• Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, tolerances, material thicknesses, hardware details, and installation constraints.
• Maintain accurate drawing revision control, file organization (CAD standards), and issue drawings for production and site use.
• Support quality control by reviewing manufactured items vs shop drawings and preparing as-built documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architectural Technology, Drafting, or equivalent.
• 3+ years’ experience in joinery / interior fit-out drafting (UAE/GCC experience is must).
• Expert level in AutoCAD (2D) — ability to produce highly accurate shop and fabrication drawings.
• Strong understanding of joinery fabrication: material thicknesses (MDF, plywood, solid wood, veneer), edge details, hardware (hinges, slides, pulls), fixings and finishing tolerances.
• Excellent attention to detail, strong numeracy, and ability to work to tight deadlines.
• Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of local UAE building and fit-out practices is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
