Draughtsman

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed shop drawings, as-built drawings, and tender drawings.
• Develop 2D and 3D drawings using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD , Revit if applicable).
• Coordinate with civil, architectural, mechanical, and electrical teams to ensure drawing consistency.
• Revise drawings based on engineers’ comments and site feedback.
• Ensure compliance with Egyptian building codes and project specifications.
• Prepare quantity take-offs from drawings when required.
• Maintain drawing logs and document control procedures.
• Support the technical office during tendering and project execution phases.
• Visit project sites when necessary to verify measurements and update drawings.
• Prepare as-built drawings upon project completion.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or relevant technical field.
• 3–6 years of experience in construction companies (buildings / infrastructure).
• Knowledge of Revit or other BIM software is an advantage.
• Familiarity with Egyptian construction standards and codes.
• Good communication skills.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory).
• Excellent drafting and detailing skills.
• Good knowledge of Revit (preferred).
• Understanding of construction methodologies.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with BOQs and technical specifications.
• Basic knowledge of quantity surveying (preferred).
