Dreamland Host

An event venue Host acts as the primary point of contact for guests, responsible for selling, scanning, and troubleshooting tickets, managing will call, and providing event information. They ensure a secure, welcoming experience, often handling cash/POS transactions and assisting with seating. Strong customer service and, often, digital ticketing proficiency are required.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Customer Service: Welcome guests, answer questions regarding events, seating, pricing, and venue policies.
  • Ticket Operations: Sell tickets via POS systems, process calls, scan tickets at entrances, and troubleshoot digital ticket issues.
  • Cash Handling: Accurately process payments, make changes, and reconcile cash drawers.
  • Technology Proficiency: Utilize ticketing platforms (e.g., Tixr) and mobile apps to assist guests.
  • Support Roles: Assist with guest flow, ushering, or directing patrons to seating areas.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to venue safety policies and security protocols.

Requirements:
  • Strong communication skills to work with kitchen staff and servers.
  • Ability to work fast, especially during peak hours.
  • Flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Moderate knowledge of technology and apps


Rate of Pay and Benefits

  • Starting rate of $18-$20

Salary Range – California

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in California, Aviator Nation includes a reasonable estimate of the salary or hourly rate range for this role. This considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions; including but not limited to business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience and training, licensure, and certifications. In addition, where a candidate falls within the disclosed range estimate may be dependent on the applicable geographic differential associated with the location in which the position may be filled.

Eligible employees may also participate in an employee benefits program as well as an incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
