Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Dredger Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of dredgers, engines, and associated marine equipment to ensure smooth and safe operation of our fleet.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform regular inspection, maintenance, and repair of dredger engines, hydraulic systems, and mechanical components.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues on dredging and marine equipment.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance as per manufacturer guidelines.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and service records.
• Assist in overhauling main and auxiliary engines, pumps, compressors, and winches.
• Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with safety and environmental standards.
• Collaborate with the dredging operations team to minimize downtime.

Requirements

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Mechanic in dredging, marine, or heavy equipment maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and marine mechanical components.
• Experience with dredgers (Cutter Suction / Grab / Multicat) is preferred.
• Ability to read technical manuals and mechanical drawings.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Physically fit to work onboard vessels and at remote project sites.

Preferred Qualifications

• Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical / Marine Engineering.
• UAE or GCC experience in marine equipment maintenance is an advantage.
• Knowledge of safety and environmental procedures related to marine operations.

Work Location & Conditions

• Based in Dubai, UAE.
• Site-based role with offshore and onshore work requirements depending on project needs.
