Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and control drilling rigs and associated equipment according to project requirements.
- Perform setup, alignment, and positioning of the rig at designated locations.
- Monitor drilling parameters such as depth, pressure, and drilling speed to maintain accuracy and safety.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of drilling rigs, hydraulic systems, and tools.
- Ensure drilling activities comply with environmental and safety standards.
- Record drilling data such as soil types, depth, and penetration rates.
- Assist in loading, unloading, and assembling rig components and drilling tools.
- Identify and troubleshoot operational problems or mechanical issues on-site.
- Coordinate with engineers, site supervisors, and helpers to ensure smooth workflow.
- Maintain cleanliness and order around the drilling site.
- Follow company safety protocols and wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or technical certificate in heavy equipment operation or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of experience operating drilling rigs in construction, piling, or geotechnical works.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of drilling rig mechanics and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or drilling plans.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety procedures.
- License/Certification: Valid equipment operator license or rig operator certification (if required by local authorities).
- Physical Requirements: Physically fit to perform outdoor and field work in various weather conditions.
