Driller Manual

The Rig Driller is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the drilling rig during gas drilling activities. The role includes operating the rig, supervising drilling crew personnel, coordinating with the Rig Manager, Saudi Aramco Foreman, and service companies, and ensuring all drilling operations comply with company policies, Saudi Aramco standards, and applicable HSE regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate the drilling rig safely and efficiently.

• Supervise rig crews and ensure safe work practices.

• Maintain well control readiness at all times.

• Ensure proper operation and maintenance of drilling equipment.

• Enforce emergency response procedures and well control standards.

Experience & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Minimum of 10 years of drilling experience, with at least 3 years as a Driller.

• Strong experience in gas drilling operations (mandatory).

• Previous experience working in Saudi Arabia is highly preferred.

• Jafurah Field experience is an advantage.

• Hands-on experience operating:

• Manual brake handle rigs or Joystick.

• Experience on operated rigs.

• Strong knowledge of well control, drilling practices, and rig equipment.
