Drilling Engineer (Located in Liberia)

As part of our growing drilling and exploration activities, we are seeking a Drilling Engineer to support and optimize drilling operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and coordinating underground and surface drilling activities.
• Support drilling operations by monitoring drilling parameters, penetration rates, and core recovery.
• Work closely with the Senior Drilling Engineer to evaluate drilling performance and implement improvements.
• Ensure all drilling activities comply with HSSE (Health, Safety, Security & Environment) standards.
• Collect, review, and organize drilling data, daily logs, and sample quality information.
• Assist in equipment selection, verification of hydraulic drilling machine performance, and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with geology, maintenance, and planning teams to ensure smooth drilling operations.
• Prepare daily and weekly drilling reports and contribute to operational documentation.
• Identify basic operational issues and suggest practical improvement actions.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Geological Engineering, Hydrogeology, Geophysics, or Mining Engineering.

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of drilling experience in surface or underground mining operations.
• Knowledge of core drilling (diamond core drilling) is required.
• Experience with hydraulic drilling machines is preferred.
• International or remote site experience is an advantage but not mandatory.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Understanding of drilling mechanics, sampling processes, and field data collection.
• Good command of English (reading & writing required).

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving abilities and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work in a dynamic field environment.
• Good communication skills and teamwork mindset.
• High safety awareness.

Additional Requirements:

• Willingness to work in Liberia.
• Ability to adapt to remote, multicultural working environment
