Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

Lead and optimize the operational performance of assigned rigs, ensuring consistent execution of company standards and strategic objectives.

Direct and support site teams during abnormal drilling conditions, ensuring timely decisions and safe operational recovery.

Oversee and validate all well control preparedness, documentation, and operational responses to ensure full regulatory and company compliance.

Enforce stringent HSE compliance across company and subcontractor personnel through continuous oversight and intervention.

Lead comprehensive investigations into HSE incidents and deliver formal reports with corrective and preventive action plans.

Implement, monitor, and enforce the Management of Change (MOC) process for all operational modifications and risk scenarios.

Drive strict adherence to inspection requirements, asset maintenance routines, and PMS schedules to maximize equipment integrity.

Conduct monthly rig verification audits and ensure corrective actions are executed and closed within defined timelines.

Control and monitor rig budgets, operating costs, and inventory levels through structured reporting and financial discipline.

Manage procurement requests—including Tender Request Forms (TRFs)—and contribute to key financial decisions to maintain cost efficiency and operational continuity.“

Manage crew movements and all personnel-related matters to maintain optimal workforce availability and competency.

Elevate competency standards by overseeing training schedules, performance evaluations, and technical skill development.

Maintain uninterrupted 24-hour rig operational coverage through effective coordination with deputies and support teams.

Engage proactively with clients on operational performance, challenges, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Govern rig administrative systems and ensure documentation, reports, and filing remain accurate, updated, and compliant.

Represent the rigs and operations department in management and client meetings, providing detailed updates and strategic insights
Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science with 10 years of experience.
-
A valid IWCF Certificate, (Level 4).
-
Round I and Round II of well engineering certificate are preferred.
