Drive-Away Dispatcher

Job Description:

Horizon Transport is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Drive Away Dispatcher to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the transportation of vehicles by assigning drivers, monitoring deliveries, and ensuring timely and efficient service.

Responsibilities:

• Dispatch drivers for vehicle pickups and deliveries across the U.S.
• Communicate with drivers regarding schedules, routes, and updates
• Monitor shipment progress and ensure on-time delivery
• Handle issues or delays and provide solutions quickly
• Maintain accurate records and update dispatch systems
• Work closely with operations and customer service teams

Qualifications:

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Excellent communication (phone, email, and messaging)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, dispatch software experience a plus)
• Previous dispatch, logistics, or transportation experience preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
