Driver

We are seeking a responsible, reliable, and experienced Company Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting company staff, clients, and materials to various destinations while ensuring the vehicle is properly maintained and operated in compliance with all traffic and safety regulations. The ideal candidate should have excellent driving skills, a clean driving record, and a professional attitude that reflects the company’s values and standards.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate light vehicles (cars, vans, pickups) and heavy vehicles (buses, trucks, trailers) as assigned.
• Perform daily inspection of assigned vehicles, including checking oil, fuel, brakes, tires, lights, and general condition.
• Report mechanical issues immediately and coordinate with the maintenance team for repairs.
• Keep vehicles clean, well-maintained, and in good working condition.
• Maintain accurate logbooks for mileage, fuel usage, trips, and delivery records.
• Ensure all vehicle documents (registration, insurance, permits) are valid and available.
• Comply with company safety procedures, government transport regulations, and road safety standards.
• Support company operations by running errands or delivering urgent documents.
• Perform additional tasks assigned by supervisors.
• Transport staff, materials, goods, or equipment to designated locations on time.
• Follow all traffic laws, regulations, and company driving policies.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s licence for the appropriate vehicle category (e.g., light vehicle, heavy vehicle, commercial licence).
• Minimum __ years of driving experience (commonly 2–5 years depending on job level).
• Strong knowledge of local and regional roads, routes, and traffic laws.
• Ability to drive long distances and handle heavy vehicle operation confidently.
• Basic mechanical knowledge to identify and report issues.

• Physically fit to handle the demands of both light and heavy vehicle operations.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Additional training or certification in defensive driving or road safety is an advantage.
