Driver

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and the ability to handle various driving tasks, including route driving and heavy lifting.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate commercial vehicles for deliveries and pickups.
• Load and unload cargo, ensuring that all items are secured properly during transit.
• Follow designated routes while adhering to traffic laws and company policies.
• Provide exceptional customer service during interactions with clients and ensure their satisfaction with deliveries.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel usage.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Assist in moving products within the warehouse as needed.
• 1.Equipment Handling & Delivery Support
• Transport turf installation equipment, lighting fixtures, and construction tools safely to job sites.
• Assist crews in unloading and setting up materials or machinery at project locations.
• Operate small machinery s) if required and certified.
• 2.Site Coordination
• Communicate with site supervisors or project managers regarding delivery times and placement of materials.
• Ensure that deliveries are made according to site safety and layout requirements.
• 3.Vehicle Maintenance & Care
• Schedule and coordinate routine maintenance or repairs for company vehicles.
• Keep vehicles clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
• 4.Inventory & Documentation
• Assist in managing inventory levels by reporting material shortages or damaged goods.
• Verify delivery orders, packing slips, and ensure proper documentation for each delivery.
• 5.Safety & Compliance
• Follow all company and site-specific safety protocols.
• Report any accidents, delays, or mechanical issues immediately to management.
• Ensure proper handling and transportation of lighting equipment, which may be fragile or hazardous.
• 6.Team Support
• Assist warehouse staff with loading schedules, organizing stock, and maintaining order.
• Support installation or construction teams during peak project phases as needed.
• 7.Customer and Vendor Relations
• Maintain professional communication with customers and vendors.
• Collect signatures, payments, or receipts as instructed.
• 8.Environmental Responsibility
• Follow waste disposal and recycling guidelines, especially when transporting turf materials and lighting components.

• Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management to support company operations and project needs.

Experience

• Prior experience as a delivery driver or in a similar driving role is preferred.
• Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety protocols is essential.
• Experience operating manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
• Customer service skills are crucial for interacting positively with clients.
• Warehouse experience, including knowledge of loading/unloading procedures, is beneficial.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and engage in physical activities related to moving goods.
