Driver

The Driver is responsible for pickup, delivery, and transportation of construction materials to various job sites or Hatzel & Buehler locations and may assist with maintaining the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pre-Trip Inspections: Perform thorough pre-trip inspections of the vehicle, equipment, paperwork, and loaded products to ensure everything is in proper order.
• Loading and Organizing: Load vehicles with packed orders, sorting and organizing merchandise for easy access during transportation.
• Timely Deliveries: Deliver orders, including materials, tool repairs, and rental products, to customers in a timely and courteous manner.
• Communication: Communicate with the dispatcher and/or supervisor regarding any issues or delays that may arise during deliveries.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Maintain all vehicles/trucks in good working condition and coordinate with the branch dispatcher and/or fleet manager for special appointments for fleet maintenance.
• Warehouse Assistance: Assist in warehouse operations as needed, contributing to a smooth and efficient workflow.
• Safety Compliance: Comply with all company safety standards to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Qualifications:

• Valid State Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience as a driver, preferably in a similar role involving delivery and vehicle maintenance.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
• Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers, dispatchers, and team members.
• Ability to perform pre-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance tasks.
• Flexibility to assist with warehouse operations as needed.
• Commitment to following safety protocols and company standards.
• DOT & CDL Preferred.
