Driver

Duties

· Safely operate and maintain your own vehicle(s) to complete delivery routes efficiently.

• Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment such as hand truck or dolly, temperature regulated satchels or coolers when necessary, ensuring items are handled with care.
• Navigate assigned routes confidently, adhering to traffic laws and company policies to ensure timely deliveries.
• Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients during drop-offs and pickups.
• Verify delivery details, obtain signatures when required, and document all transactions accurately.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine inspections to ensure safety standards are met at all times.
• Manage paperwork related to deliveries, including logs, route sheets, and incident reports if needed.
• Handle heavy lifting and moving tasks as required to load or unload cargo safely.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers or coordinators regarding route updates or delivery issues.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and adherence to load limits.
• Maintain a clean a background and motor vehicle record

Experience

· Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, preferably in the medical field

• Strong background in customer service with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
• Familiarity with hospital and laboratory systems.
• Knowledge of route planning and navigation tools to optimize delivery efficiency.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with moving goods safely.
• Valid driver’s license suitable for operating commercial vehicles
