Duties

• Safely operate trucks with manual transmissions, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and tractor-trailers.
• Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
• Drive assigned routes confidently, adhering to schedules, traffic laws, and safety standards.
• Manage deliveries by securing cargo properly and verifying delivery accuracy with recipients.
• Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, routes, cargo details, and inspection reports.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route updates, delays, or issues encountered during deliveries.

Experience

• Proven experience as a commercial driver with a focus on truck driving, delivery routes, or freight transportation.
• Familiarity with operating various truck types including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks.
• Hands-on experience with load & unload procedures and route driving in diverse environments.
• Ability to handle manual transmission vehicles confidently and safely.
• Knowledge of safety regulations related to trucking operations and freight handling.
• Prior experience with forklift operation is a plus but not required; certification is preferred.

Pay: $26.44 - $28.02 per hour

Work Location: In person
