Driver Acquisition Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Driver Acquisition Manager to lead our efforts in recruiting, onboarding, and retaining a diverse fleet of professional drivers. In this role, you will develop strategic initiatives to attract qualified drivers across various commercial vehicle categories, including tractor-trailer. Your energetic approach will help build a robust driver network that supports our operational excellence and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive driver recruitment strategies tailored to different vehicle types such as commercial trucks drivers.
  • Build strong partnerships with driving schools, employment agencies, and community groups to source qualified candidates.
  • Manage the entire candidate lifecycle—from sourcing and screening applicants to onboarding and ongoing engagement—ensuring a seamless experience for new drivers.
  • Maintain detailed records of recruitment activities, driver qualifications, licensing requirements, and compliance documentation.
  • Monitor industry trends and labor market conditions to identify new opportunities for driver acquisition and retention initiatives.
  • Promote a positive employer brand by highlighting our commitment to safety, career development, and supportive work environment.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in driver recruitment or talent acquisition within transportation or logistics sectors.
  • Knowledge of various commercial driving roles including tractor-trailer hauling.
  • Familiarity with licensing requirements such as CDL (Commercial Driver’s License), DOT regulations, and safety standards for heavy haul or military vehicle operations.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse candidate pools and internal teams.
  • Ability to analyze labor market data and develop innovative recruitment strategies.
  • Experience working with applicant tracking systems (ATS) or HR management tools is preferred.
  • A proactive attitude with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
