Safe Transport LLC provides transportation for induvial passengers or groups with various needs. Our drivers connect people to jobs, healthcare, education, and leisure activities! As a driver you would provide our clients with the freedom and convenience of reliable, safe transportation. If you love serving people and driving-come work for us! Drivers' responsibilities include regular vehicle cleaning, maintenance service awareness for the vehicle, planning routes, assisting passengers however possible including assisting passengers that are in wheelchairs. Ultimately, you will help us increase customer satisfaction, making sure clients depend on us for their transportation needs. To be considered for this role you need a valid driver’s license, clean driving record (past 7 years), clean criminal background (past 7 years), can pass pre and random drug screening. Please note you don’t need to have a car. We provide drivers with our vehicles to drive throughout their shift.

We operate 24/7 and looking for drivers wanting set schedules 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift for both full and part time.

Responsibilities

• Map out driving routes ahead of time to determine the most expedient trip
• Pick up clients from the place and at the time that has been requested
• Assist the loading/unloading and securing of wheelchair passengers
• Assist clients with loading and unloading the vehicle and their personal items
• Listen to traffic and weather reports to stay up to date on road conditions
• Adjust the route to avoid heavy traffic or road constructions, as needed
• Ensure the car is clean and comfortable for all riders

Skills

• Proven experience as a Driver
• A valid driver’s license
• A clean driving record for the past 7 years
• Minimum visual acuity of 20/50 (or corrected to 20/50)
• Familiarity with GPS devices
• Knowledge of area roads and neighborhoods
• Ability to lift patient items up to 30 pounds
• Assist pushing wheelchair passengers up to 250 pounds
• A polite and professional disposition
• Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g. at rush hour)
• A high school diploma
• 23 years old or older

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
