Driver Helper

Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dependable Driver Helper to join our dynamic delivery team. In this role, you will assist the driver with loading, unloading, and delivering goods efficiently and safely. Responsibilities

• Assist the driver with loading and unloading boxes, pallets, and heavy items using equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts when necessary
• Help carry packages to customers’ doors, ensuring safe handling and proper placement
• Support route driving by providing navigation assistance and helping to organize deliveries for efficiency
• Load and unload trucks at warehouses or distribution centers, managing heavy lifting with proper technique
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including logs of items loaded, delivered, and any discrepancies
• Communicate effectively with customers to confirm delivery details and address any questions or concerns
• Follow safety protocols during all loading, unloading, and delivery activities to prevent accidents or injuries

Skills

• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude
• Previous warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks is a plus
• Experience as a commercial driver or courier, especially with box trucks or similar vehicles
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual moving tasks safely and efficiently
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience driving manual transmission preferred
• Knowledge of route driving techniques for timely deliveries across various locations
• Ability to work independently while following safety procedures and company policies

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
