Driver (Independent Contractor)

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Delivery driver who owns their own Truck and enclosed Trailer or Sprinter Van to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to handle various driving tasks.

Duties

• Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling of goods to prevent damage.
• Utilize warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks for efficient loading and unloading processes.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and complete necessary paperwork.
• Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
• Assist in moving items within the warehouse as needed, including heavy lifting tasks.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license.
• DOT Health Card
• Experience in being a delivery driver is highly desirable.
• Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the day.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when handling deliveries.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with customers and team members.
• A commitment to safety practices while on the road and in the warehouse environment.
