Driver Manager / Fleet Manager

Same Day Xpress is seeking an energetic and experienced Driver Manager to lead our team of professional drivers, acting as their primary support, coach, and liaison to ensure safety, compliance, and high productivity. The ideal candidate will foster a culture of excellence, optimize driver schedules, and maintain high retention rates by building trusting relationships.Key Responsibilities:

• Driver Support & Retention: Act as the main point of contact for a fleet of drivers, addressing concerns, providing mentorship, and promoting a positive work environment to ensure high retention.
• Safety & Compliance: Monitor driver hours-of-service (HOS), ensuring strict adherence to FMCSA and DOT regulations.
• Operations & Logistics: Optimize driver hours to maximize productivity, planning efficient routes and ensuring on-time pick-up and delivery.
• Communication: Act as a liaison between drivers and departments such as dispatch, maintenance, and customer service.
• Performance Tracking: Monitor performance metrics, including fuel compliance and idle times, to provide feedback and coaching.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Driver Manager, Fleet Manager, or in a similar logistics/dispatch role.
• Strong knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in trucking software/transport management systems.
• DOT medical card is a plus but not always required.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
