Driver Manager/Dispatcher

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Driver Manager/Dispatcher to oversee daily transportation operations, and ensure efficient fleet management. This role involves managing driver schedules, dispatching loads, and utilizing transportation management systems to optimize logistics processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, analysis capabilities, and familiarity with industry-specific software to support seamless transportation planning and execution.

Duties

  • Coordinate and dispatch freight shipments using transportation management systems.
  • Manage driver schedules, assign routes, and communicate with drivers via multi-line phone systems and other communication tools.
  • Utilize analysis skills to evaluate transportation data, identify bottlenecks, and implement process improvements.
  • Handle phone etiquette professionally when communicating with drivers, clients, and internal teams.

Skills

  • The ablility to learn new apps, programs and processes
  • Strong knowledge of GPS technology, and transportation planning tools.
  • Experience with logistics coordination, freight management, shipping & receiving processes.
  • Excellent analysis skills for evaluating transportation data to improve efficiency.
  • Effective dispatching skills combined with strong communication abilities and phone etiquette.
  • Ability to handle data entry accurately in a fast-paced environment.

Driver Manager Compensation: Driver Managers receive a base salary of $600 per week during the startup period. In addition, once the team surpasses the established package threshold, the Driver Manager earns $0.10 for each package delivered above that threshold. This incentive rewards operational efficiency and increased delivery volume.

  • Base pay: $600 per week.
  • Performance pay: $0.10 for each package delivered by the drivers they manage, but only after the team exceeds a specified package threshold.

Example 1: Threshold = 8,000 packages

  • Drivers deliver 7,800 packages.
  • Since they did not exceed 8,000, pay = $600.

Example 2: Threshold = 8,000 packages

  • Drivers deliver 8,500 packages.
  • Packages above threshold = 8,500 − 8,000 = 500.
  • Bonus = 500 × $0.10 = $50.
  • Total pay = $650.

Example 3: Threshold = 8,000 packages

  • Drivers deliver 10,000 packages.
  • Packages above threshold = 2,000.
  • Bonus = 2,000 × $0.10 = $200.
  • Total pay = $800.
