Driver Manager/Dispatcher Roofing

We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Driver Manager/Dispatcher specializing in roofing logistics to join our team. In this vital role, you will oversee the scheduling, dispatching, and coordination of roofing delivery drivers and crews, ensuring seamless operations across our supply chain. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead roofing transportation activities with energy and precision, supporting our commitment to timely project completion and exceptional service.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily dispatching of roofing drivers, ensuring timely pickups and deliveries aligned with project schedules.
• Utilize transportation management systems (TMS), GPS tracking, and GIS tools to optimize routes, monitor vehicle locations, and improve overall fleet efficiency.
• Manage freight shipments related to roofing materials, including shipping & receiving documentation and data entry within systems like Oracle Transportation Management and SyteLine.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, suppliers, vendors, and internal teams via multi-line phone systems while maintaining professional phone etiquette.
• Oversee fleet management activities such as vehicle maintenance scheduling, compliance checks, and utilization tracking using AS400 or similar platforms.
• Analyze logistics data to identify opportunities for process improvements in transportation planning and supply chain operations.
• Ensure accurate documentation of shipping details, delivery confirmations, and incident reports while maintaining detailed records for audit purposes.

Experience

• Proven experience in transportation management or logistics coordination within the roofing crews, suppliers, and material drop off cordination.
• Strong familiarity with hauling dump trailers, and other heavy equipment.
• Demonstrated analysis skills for route optimization and supply chain efficiency enhancements.
• Excellent communication skills with proficiency in phone etiquette, data entry, typing accuracy, and multi-line phone systems.
• Experience working with 3PL providers or in fleet management environments is a plus.
